The F617 is a compact panoramic medium format camera for 120 film, which takes 4 oversized (60 mm x 170 mm) photos per roll. It has a fixed-focus design, meaning the focus is always set to infinity. In most cases, focusing on a 6x17 camera is not necessary as it is commonly used for landscapes. It can be used for architectural photography with a small aperture setting achieving a larger depth of field.

A 6x17 camera at this price has some compromises, but we can use those compromises to our benefit. The compact, 3D-printed body and the fixed-focus lens make the F617 not only the best traveler medium format panoramic camera, but the best way to step into the world of 6x17 photography.
